ABOUT US
מי אנחנו
The mission of Torrey Language School LLC is to teach modern Hebrew in an engaging and dynamic way. We are committed to sharing our core values of learning, culture, and the excitement of curiosity. Our educational philosophy is founded on enriching students through a well-rounded, multi-faceted language education.
Our goal is to provide San Diego students with an education beyond basic language skills. We believe language instruction should be deeply connected to cultural context, linguistic roots, grammar, and even humor. Students engage in Hebrew classes focused on reading, oral proficiency, comprehension, verb conjugation, grammar, and cursive writing. Our curriculum is based on Israeli cultural themes that resonate with children, youth, and teens. We offer separate tracks for students from Hebrew-speaking and English-speaking homes and welcome students from all backgrounds.
Torrey Language School serves students in grades 7 through 12, whether they are studying to fulfill high school credit requirements and/or interested in learning a second language.
Torrey Language School is WASC accredited. Western Association for Schools and Colleges has registered us in their porfolio which allows TLS to present students with a private SEP transcript to be submitted to colleges around the United States. Students can choose to submit a TLS transcript or to have their grade posted on their high school's transcript.
